Plan of 5 days to Cerros de Mavecure

DAY1: ENCOUNTER WITH ANCESTRAL CULTURE

Arrival in Inírida and lunch. Displacement to the hills of Mavicure, Pájaro and Mono. Welcome to the indigenous community of Remanso, one of the guardians and protectors of the Cerros de Mavuicure . Hike to the base of Cerro Diablo or tour through the forests of Galería at the base of Cerro Pájaro, dinner and accommodation in an indigenous hut in the community of Remanso.

DAY 2: IN THE LAND OF LOS TEPUY

Breakfast. Climbing the Cerros de Mavicure . Recognition of the landscapes of the Guiana Shield. Lunch and rest. Bathroom in Caño San Joaquín. Displacement to the Community of La Ceiba. Curiara tour to watch dolphins in the calm waters of La Ceiba or Caño Pajarito. Dinner and accommodation in an indigenous cabin in the Community of La Ceiba.

DAY 3: ON THE ROAD TO SUSTAINABILITY

Breakfast. Hike to Caño Vitina; A journey where ecosystems of eight different forest covers are contemplated and one corresponding to the natural white sand savannas. Bathroom in Caño Vitina. Lunch. Honey Route, dinner and accommodation in an indigenous hut in the Community of La Ceiba.

DAY 4: JUNGLE MATEVEN

Breakfast. Displacement to the source of the Orinoco River. Recognition of the river star of Inírida, and the tributaries Inírida, Guaviare, Atabapo and Orinoco. Visit to the MORU Nature Reserve where you will spend the night. Bathing in the Atabapo river in the Piedra de Maviso border area with Venezuela. Lunch. Rappel in the forests of the Matavén jungle until you reach a platform in the treetops where you will start a journey crossing bridges at a height of 15 meters on a route of 160 meters through the forest of the northeastern Amazon. If you do not want this option, you can take a walk to the Laguna de la Nutria. Dinner and accommodation in multiple accommodation cabin.

DAY 5: ANCESTRAL KNOWLEDGE

Breakfast. Displacement to the mouths of the Inírida River with the Guaviare River to see the petroglyphs of the Amarrú Rupestre Park of the Coco Viejo Community. Transfer to the airport in the city of Inírida. End of the tour to the Cerros de Mavecure.

• Bring a flashlight as there is no electricity in the indigenous huts
• Bring personal medications if they are in any medical treatment.
• Bring snacks, as they cannot be found during the tour.
• Wear long-sleeved shirts and pants.
• Wear shoes with good grip
• Bring towels and toiletries
• Indispensable high quill pantanal boot
• Bring canteen
• Use a hat, repellent, sunscreen and biodegradable soap.
• The use of aerosols and single-use plastics is prohibited (if you are carrying plastic bags, these must be returned with you)
