Basic Information:
The Hills of Mavicure or Mavecure, are three monolithic hills that are located on the banks of the Inírida River, catalogued as the oldest stones on the planet. This plan will take you to live an exciting 4-day adventure to the Mavicure Hills, as well as other natural and archeological attractions in the department of Guania.

Day 1:
The plan to the Mavicure Mountains starts after 10:30 when the flight to Inírida arrives. From there, we will take a type of motorcycle taxi called tuctus to take a boat that will take us to the Matraca to see the beautiful pink dolphins or toninas. Then, we will go to the community of Caranacoa where we will have a delicious typical lunch towards the community of El Remanso, where two of the three hills of Mavicure are located. At the end of the day we will go to the lodge to rest.
Day 2:
On the second day we will get up early to watch the sunrise from the Mavicure Hill and then we will return to the lodge to have breakfast and then go to San Joaquin, a red water pipe, due to the concentration of tannins; a type of plant that gives this coloration. There, if the conditions allow it, we will be able to see the matamata turtles, which are in danger of extinction.
We return for lunch and then go out to observe the beautiful flower of the Inírida.
Day 3:
The itinerary of the third day in this plan to the Mavicure Mountains, begins with a very early wake up to go to La Ceiba to have breakfast with the community where we will be able to appreciate the projects they have with the little angel bees, known because they do not have a sting and their honey has medicinal uses. Then we will continue to the southern river star, where we will have the possibility to take a bath in Amanavén and then have lunch.
In the afternoon, we will go to the community of Cocos in Puerto Inírida, where they make handicrafts and we will try to make a craft workshop to be able to participate in the elaboration process. There too, we will see the union of the rivers Inírida and Guaviare, as well as the petroglyphs written hundreds of years ago.
Day 4:
This last day we will leave very early to the airport to take our flight back home and finish our excursion to the Mavicure Hills.
