Tour to Caño Cristales 5 days and 4 nights

Day 1

Cristalitos Viewpoint

Once you arrive at La Macarena airport we will start this magical journey through this incredible place in Colombia. For this first day we will sail by boat through the waters of the Guayabero River to Puerto Cristalitos from where we will walk for approximately 30 minutes to reach Caño Cristalitos and enjoy a small river with crystalline waters with natural pools, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the place. . There you will have lunch, which is served as "fiambre", which consists of wrapped in banana leaves. After the tour, with the same route, you will return to La Macarena.

Day 2

Cano Cristales

For this second day we will see the beauty of Caño Cristales that awaits us. After having breakfast, we will take a boat until we reach Puerto Los Mangos, where there is a control point for environmental entities. Being here we will get into a 4x4 vehicle that will take us to the entrance of the trail to Caño Cristales. From this point our walk begins to get to know this natural wonder where we will visit places such as: Los Hoyos, Los Pianos, the Tourist Pool, Los Cuarzos and the Paso de la Danta, among others, here we can snorkel, swim and observe the Rhyncholacis Clavigera, the plant that fills the river with Colors .

Day 3

Silent Lagoon

After having our breakfast we will go in search of our third adventure, for them we will navigate the Guayabero River to the Vereda de La Cachivera. From here, we will walk for approximately 45 minutes until we reach Laguna del Silencio , where we will board a traditional canoe or "potrillo" for a relaxing tour of the place. Laguna del Silencio, as its name says, is a place of complete calm , to relax and do bird watching. Lunch will be taken at a nearby farm, where we can rest in hammocks while listening to the sounds of nature. At the end we will return to La Macarena.

Day 4

For our fourth day in the Macarena, we will sail by boat to Pailones, where Rhyncholacis Clavigera, the plant that fills the river with Colors , has a green color that you will want to see and photograph. We will have the morning to enjoy recreational baths, photography, and observe the fauna and flora that the place offers the most. At the end of the afternoon we will return to La Macarena to rest and have dinner.

Day 5

Under Losada

Very early in the morning, around 6:00 am, we will have breakfast to prepare for our last day of adventure in the Macarena. We will start with a walk towards the Inderena port where we will take a boat until we reach the mouth of the Losada River , there we will have the possibility of seeing the pink dolphins or also known as freshwater dolphins. In addition, throughout this tour we will be able to enjoy and see the flora and fauna that characterizes the Macarena mountain range, such as birds, turtles, crocodiles, among other species. Before noon, you will return to Macarena, where our trip ends.

• Wear trekking shoes or tennis shoes with good grip, appropriate for walks on trails, mountains, waterfalls or rivers.
• Bring a quick-drying, low-volume towel.
• Bags to protect your luggage.
• Use repellent, sunscreen and biodegradable soap.
• No smoking in the park.
• Do not drink alcoholic beverages inside the park.
• Plastic bottles are not allowed
• Carry the yellow fever vaccination card.
• In the municipality of La Macarena there is no exchange house, you must bring the money in Colombian pesos.
• Caño Cristales is a nature destination for this reason its hotel infrastructure is not luxurious, much less than 5 stars, on the contrary, its accommodations are comfortable, clean and quiet.
