Plan Karupa 4 days: the charm of the Amazon

Day 1

Welcome to the Jungle

We will start this adventure at the Vásquez Cobo Airport in the city of Leticia where we will transfer to the hotel in Leticia. At the end of the check in, we will go to the port of Leticia to have our first contact with the Amazon river to visit the imaginary point of the three frontiers. Our day would end with a walk through the city, to visit the handicraft shops, the Banco de la República ethnographic museum and Santander Park where we will have a concert of thousands of parrots returning to their nests. We will have space to enjoy the hotel, the pool.

Day 2

Exploring the Amazon world

We will move to the Mundo Amazónico ecological park and we will have a jungle encounter in an eco tour of all the ecological stations of the park and its natural trails. After a delicious Amazonian lunch, we will undertake a walk to an indigenous maloca where hand in hand with a knowledgeable ancestral we will receive a talk that will allow us to have "A look from the indigenous eyes". At the end we will return to Leticia to have dinner and rest in our hotel.

Day 3

Isla de los Micos, Puerto Nariño and Pink Dolphins

We will take a tour of the trails of the Isla de los Micos where we will be able to interact with the primates. At the end, we will visit the Macedonian community who will perform a presentation of Tikuna dances, crafts and ancestral culture . Then we will go to Puerto Nariño, known as the ecological manger of Colombia, where we will have lunch and take a walking tour of the municipality. From there we will take a boat tour of the Tarapoto lakes , and we will observe pink and gray dolphins. (In the months of August, September and October the water level of the river has dropped considerably, it is very possible that the entrance to the lakes cannot be done, in this case we have alternatives for the observation of the dolphins).

Day 4

On the last day of this adventure, we will freely enjoy the city of Leticia or a shopping tour in Tabatinga Brazil depending on the time of the return flight. natural and cultural beauty.

• We recommend supporting local communities by buying their crafts and products
• Bring strictly what is necessary in a small suitcase or backpack to use during the day's activities.
• Bring cool and waterproof clothing for water activities.
• Wear trekking or tennis shoes with good grip, appropriate for walks along trails or rivers.
• Bring a quick-drying, low-volume towel.
• Use repellent and sunscreen
• Bring a flashlight with enough battery.
• Don't forget to bring your camera.
• You must have the yellow fever vaccine and carry your vaccination card.
• It is preferable that you bring cash in Colombian pesos for extra expenses (low denomination money).
• When passing through the indigenous communities, please respect their privacy, do not take photos without their proper authorization.
