La Ciénaga is also protected as a RAMSAR site, a protection area for local, endemic and migratory birds.
The boat ride will take us along the right side of the Ciénaga Grande by boat, to the palafitic villages. After a snack, we return through the largest mangrove forests in the Caribbean.
