Nudist beach in Tayrona Park, Santa Marta. All the information you need

Perhaps many of you would agree that being naked offers a sense of freedom and immeasurable comfort that does not have any comparison. Perhaps that's why a lot of people see nudism as both a philosophy and a mentality, and decide to practice it wherever they can, thus carrying a message that goes far beyond taking off their clothes. As mentioned, although being naked offers a sensation of freedom, being naked in a nudist beach has the ability to quintuplicate this sensation.

Every year, thousands of travelers around the world arrive to Santa Marta attracted by its natural wonders: its beautiful beaches, the amazing Lost City, the wonderful Tayrona Park, the stunning town of Minca, and, believe it or not, because the only nudist beach in Colombia is located there.

To begin with,  this nudist beach is within the National Natural Tayrona Park in the city of Santa Marta; in this article we will tell you all you need to know about it.

What you need to know about the nudist beach?

Bocas del Saco Beach is its true name and, although it is known as nudist beach, it is not regulated, and does not officially "exist". In fact, if you ask your tour guide about a nudist beach, they will tell you that it does not exist, even if they know it, but hey! Do not worry. The truth is that Colombia is still a conservative country, and still remains modest about some subjects. Additionally, the Colombian indigenous communities do not agree with this behavior;. Regardless of this, you can get naked on this beach, without fear of consequences such as getting kicked out of the park.

The beaches secludedness and lack of fame and competition have made those who visit Playa del Saco completely strip off their clothes; the feeling of being alone in the world makes them get rid of everything in an outburst of experiencing freedom and completely connect with nature.

Little by little, the beach became famous thanks to the reviews of other travelers on the Internet, and that is how, in a short time, it began to be known as the only nudist beach in Colombia.

How to get to the nudist beach?

To get to Bocas del Saco Beach, aka the nudist beach, you must first get to the Tayrona Park and walk until Cabo San Juan. After you have enjoyed its fantastic waters and replenished your energy, it is time to continue. Going across Cabo San Juan and following a little trail, the nudist beach is at the end of it. Walk around 5 to 10 minutes and you will find Bocas del Saco 1, an open beach that many people know as the nudist beach, but no one gets fully naked; some people stay with their underwear on.

If you keep walking until the end of the beach, you will see a little forest. Walk through it and continue on the trail for about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on your pace. At the end of this trail, you will find Bocas del Saco 2, this is the authentic nudist beach where everybody gets naked. Prepare to enjoy the experience (even if the waves are a little bit big).

Tips when visiting the nudist beach

The best and only advice we can give you if you are going to visit this nudist beach is to relax and enjoy the experience. If it's your first time on a nudist beach, act with confidence; take all the time you need to feel safe and do it. Once naked, allow yourself to ignore your surroundings and forget about other people, even forget that you are naked. Other people do not go there to look or stare to others. If you just breathe and relax, we can assure you that you won't feel embarrassed and this will be an enjoyable one of a kind experience.
