How to get to Salto del Tequendama?

El Salto del Tequendama is located 30 kilometers south of Bogotá . To get there, you must first get to Soacha by taking a Transmilenio to the San Mateo station, which is located after the South Portal. Then, on the South Highway you take a collective bus that says " Charquito - Salto del Tequendama ".

Another option is to take a minibus from Terminal Salitre that goes to the municipality of Mesitas and tell the driver that you are going to Salto del Tequendama and drop you there. The trip from Bogotá by bus to the Tequendama Falls takes about an hour and 20 minutes.

If you go by car to the Salto del Tequendama you can put the GPS and let it guide you. The car ride takes about 50 minutes.

What to do in the Salto del Tequendama?

In the Salto del Tequendama, in addition to being able to admire the incredible natural landscape with its spectacular waterfall , from the viewpoint you will be able to see the Hotel del Salto ; a luxurious and old hotel with a gothic and gloomy appearance that opened its doors in 1928 and which was the place chosen by many people to commit suicide. Therefore, this place keeps a lot of mystery and a paranormal atmosphere.
